Job Summary

Adult Learning Specialist reporting directly to the CEO of a innovative startup.  This role will participate on the leadership team to help develop product strategy and company direction.

General Responsibilities

• Design and develop learning experiences in multiple subject areas
• Leverage knowledge of and skill in instructional design principles and best practices while creating and revising content
• Develop additional learning “experience” modules
• Guide and mentor course developers
• Approve courses
• Solicit feedback from users to improve product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant field, advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of work experience in instructional design, learning and development, or other directly relevant field
• Knowledge of adult learning theory, best practices of instructional design and learning transfer
• Demonstrated ability to plan for, carry out and provide project support with minimal supervision
• Ability to work on multiple projects and balance competing priorities
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job
• Basic familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS)
• Experience with developing new technology/products preferred
